Dishwasher November 23, 2020 Position Title: Dishwasher, Utility Worker

Reports To: Chef/Kitchen Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for the cleanliness, sanitization and storage of all dishes, utensils, pots, pans and the overall cleanliness of the kitchen area. Performs other duties as required.

Essential Job Functions

Ensure that all glasses, dishes, pots, utensils, pans, etc., are properly cleaned, sanitized and stored in the proper areas
Perform all opening duties to ensure Bistro is ready to open on time
Keep kitchen floors and dish area clean, dry and free from debris
Clean all equipment, tools and supplies and maintain in good working order
Empty all trashcans in kitchen and dish area, following all trash removal procedures
Assist in the deep cleaning of the kitchen area, equipment, coolers and freezers
Restock kitchen line with plates, bowls and other essentials
Demonstrate all safety and sanitation guidelines
Maintain clean work station during entire shift
Ensure proper use of the dish machine, keeping it clean and well maintained at all times
Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Additional Responsibilities

Abide by all Taste of Belgium policies and procedures including those specific to uniform, grooming and hygiene
Team player attitude
Control and limit the waste of inventory and supplies
Communicate with management on all problems, stock, or job related issues
Read and follow posted shift schedule
Attend all scheduled staff meetings
Inform management when leaving work station for any reason
Requirements

Ability to stand, move frequently, bend, twist and push for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured environment
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, chemicals and water

Line Cook November 23, 2020 Position Title: Line Cook

Reports To: Kitchen Manager



Job Summary

Responsible for the daily preparation of all food items in the prep,bakery, fry, grill, line or other areas within the kitchen. Performs other duties as required.



Essential Job Functions

Perform all opening duties to ensure Bistro is ready to open on time
Set up station according to Taste of Belgium guidelines
Follow all recipes and cooking procedures to the specifications set forth by the company
Ensure all food is consistent and recipes are followed
Demonstrate all food safety and sanitation guidelines including proper hygiene
Maintain clean work station during entire shift
Control and limit wasting of inventory and supplies including the recording of any lost product on waste sheets
Properly store, wrap, label, date and rotate products
Keep kitchen area and floors clean, dry and free from debris
Assist in the cleaning and deep cleaning of the kitchen area including equipment, coolers and freezers
Restock kitchen line with plates, bowls, etc, throughout and after shift
Assist in the set-up and physical counting of all weekly and monthly inventories
Perform other duties as assigned by Management


Additional Responsibilities

Adhere to all Bistro policies and procedures including the Grooming and Uniform guidelines
Produce only menu items on prep sheet or those that have been entered in on the POS system
Proficiency in the use of all station equipment
Clean all equipment, tools, supplies and maintain in good working condition
Attend all staff meetings
Follow posted shift schedules
Inform supervisor when leaving your assigned station for any reason
Check out with management prior to leaving at end of shift


Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time with periods of moving quickly, bending, lifting and twisting
Must be able to lift & carry up to 50 lbs.
Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat and water
Must be able to understand and follow recipe guidelines
Commitment to quality service, including food safety and sanitation
Food and beverage knowledge
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

Essential Functions

Greet table within 30 seconds to a minute from the time of seating
Be attentive; ensure that our guests receive prompt, friendly and personalized service
Welcome guests to the Bistro, introduce yourself and inform guests of special offerings
Always use the proper steps of service
Serve food and beverages to our Guests while adhering to:
Correct food and beverage specifications
Specified glassware, plate ware and cutlery
Correct pouring, recipes, measures and garnishes for all beverages
Correct presentation and service of all food
Hot food hot, cold food cold
Perform check- backs on all food and/or drink served
Pre-bus tables throughout the guest dining experience
Ensure that all orders are correct by ringing them in accurately
Knowledge of all table numbers and stations
Accommodate guests’ requests and time restrictions; read the guest and give timely service
Thank the guest for their patronage and inform them you look forward to seeing them upon their return
Perform all opening duties to ensure Bistro is ready to open on time
Perform all closing functions including side work and cleaning
